For the past nine years, I’ve been showing visitors from all walks of life—honeymoon couples, photographers, military officers, families, politicians, and students—the wonders of Kyoto.
One tour I’ll never forget was with a lady from the US celebrating her 100th birthday. Her family gave her the gift of a Kyoto tour, and for two days, they explored the city together. Watching her slowly stroll under the cherry blossoms with her loved ones caring for her was truly special. Her warm smile and the gentle handshake I received at the end of the tour are memories I’ll always cherish.
